About
Ben Kruseski
AI Developer Intern @ JWX · RIT Software Engineering
I'm a Software Engineering student at the Rochester Institute of Technology who loves turning complex ideas into clean, scalable software. I'm passionate about backend systems, APIs, and data-driven development, especially where Python and AI intersect.
As an AI Developer Intern at JWX, I own most of the backend for the Acquisition Chat Bot, a multi-provider code analysis platform that routes between OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic behind a single LLM router. I've also built a Streamlit tool for natural-language database querying, led an autonomous GitLab MR review bot, and hardened the platform with vulnerability fixes, secrets redaction, and credential encryption.
Outside of work, I run a self-hosted Proxmox home lab — GitLab CE, Mailcow, Nextcloud, and Immich — with Tailscale, AdGuard Home, and CTSDeploy, my own auto-deployment system that pushes projects to live subdomains on benkruseski.com straight from GitLab.
Currently Working On
Running a ~90-run spec-detail × model-sensitivity evaluation suite across Sonnet 5, Opus 5, and Fable 5, expanding the Acquisition Chat Bot's provider adapters, and deepening expertise in LLM tooling and agentic systems.

AI Developer Intern
JWX · New York, NY (Remote)
- ▸Built the Acquisition Chat Bot, a multi-provider code analysis platform for acquisitions on FastAPI, integrating OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic (via AWS Bedrock) behind a single LLM router with GitHub, GitLab, and Google Drive adapters.
- ▸Owned ~80% of the 17k-LOC backend across 211 commits, driving test coverage to 80% across 1,459 test functions.
- ▸Fixed a cross-audit read/write vulnerability from unanchored audit_id matching and added an allowlist regex to block path traversal; added secrets redaction in exception logs and shipped AES-256-GCM credential encryption with Sentry and DataDog telemetry.
- ▸Built a Streamlit web app for natural-language querying of PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Looker dashboards, letting non-technical users skip SQL entirely.
- ▸Led development of an autonomous GitLab MR review bot that posts inline findings in the GitLab Changes tab, resolved by users via emoji reactions.
- ▸Running ~90 spec-detail × model-sensitivity evaluation runs, cross-testing prompt spec-detail against model choice across 3 models (Sonnet 5 / Opus 5 / Fable 5) and 5 real tickets, scored per run against actual requirements.
